Digital Transformation Story

A long time ago, employees in big companies set their own workflow process. Companies assumed that employees would define an effecient process for getting the work done.

Fast forward to today and companies are undergoing “digital transformation.” A hype word that means companies are using machines to replace frontline employees doing the manual work. The old process that employees set years ago don’t relate to this new, digitized workflow because data is different when it comes through a machine than through a person.

This leaves the CIO in charge of changing the process.

Since the machines are replacing frontline workers, CIOs are in a position where they either have to level-up and train employees to take over new jobs or they have to hire new personnel.
